May 13, 2008
Bonnie L. Hoffmann
May 10's Responsible Horse Ownership Clinic at BlueHorse
Mukwa, sponsored by the Chamber, raised more than $1,000
for the herd. More importantly, it raised awareness of
the Chase City Horse Rescue and what Rabiah Seminole
does at her farm. More than 100 horse owners and
potential owners participated in seminars, enjoyed
BlueGrass music, toured the farm and networked with
other equine enthusiasts during a great day!!! Many
thanks to Curtis Miller and his family for serving as
our food vendor and donating all proceeds to the herd.
Many, many thanks to Tractor Supply of South Boston,
Southern States (Dr. Marty Adams), Spaulding Farm
Equipment, Kathy Yore, Jean Thompson, David Frazier,
Cheryl Weston and all the other volunteers who made it
happen!

Joseph Epps, President of the Chamber, and Amy Hoffmann,
volunteer, enjoy the beautiful weather during the
Responsible Horse Ownership Clinic at Blue Horse Mukwa.

Chase City farrier Susan Ward volunteered her time and
expertise at the Horse Clinic May 10. Susan was on hand
to answer questions about hoof care, shoeing and
trimming.

Blue Grass Band "Lawson Creek" from Alton donated their
talents and time and put on a wonderful show at the
horse rescue. |
